I have led the fight to restore order in our community during my first term. I sponsored and passed HB5, also known as the Safer KY Act, in 2024. This critical policy demonstrates strong support for honest Kentuckians and our First Responders throughout the state. HB5 will ensure criminals are held accountable for their actions. I believe public safety, security, and protection is a fundamental function of government. Police officers, firefighters, EMT’s and all law enforcement officers work every day to ensure a safe and secure Kentucky. I support funding to increase the pay of all first responders to ensure Kentucky retains and attracts the absolute best candidates for these public safety positions. With crime at record levels in Southwest Jefferson County, the Safer KY Act will help stabilize and take back control of our neighborhoods and communities. I have also sponsored legislation to increase the number of law enforcement personnel in Jefferson Co.

In recent years, government agencies and executives have forced the closure of our schools, businesses, jobs, churches, and community centers. This government overreach into our daily lives has delivered disastrous results to our children, families, communities, and society. I support limiting the power of government to infringe on individual liberties.

To put it succinctly, I believe the role of government is to create and enforce laws ensuring public safety and a thriving economy, provide high quality public services at the lowest possible cost to taxpayers, and protect the individual liberties of ALL.

I proudly sponsored HB1 in 2023, which lowered our KY income tax. I will continue to support the effort to eliminate the Kentucky state income tax. I believe workers and families earn the right to keep as much of their paycheck as possible. I will always be a leader and advocate for reducing the overall tax burden on ALL Kentuckians.

As freshman State Representative, I went to Frankfort and worked hard to pass long overdue legislation allowing sports betting in Kentucky. I sponsored and helped pass Sports Betting for Kentucky and our state now benefits from the millions of dollars in revenue that Kentuckians were previously spending in neighboring states.

I support term limits for elected officials in Kentucky. Allowing career politicians to operate in the same position for longer than 12 years delivers representation for the few at the expense of ALL. This has been proven at the federal, state, and local levels. PRP and Valley station are ready for a new generation of leadership and representation. I will proudly lead the effort to establish term limits in Kentucky.

In 2023, I supported and helped pass critical legislation to legalize medical marijuana. As State Representative, improving the quality of life for Kentuckians suffering from chronic illness is something that will always have my vote.

I support the 2nd Amendment and our right to own and possess firearms. I support background checks and will never vote to restrict the rights of gun owners in Kentucky.

I have worked with my colleagues to pass legislation reducing your income tax. I have also worked hard on policies to eliminate RFG and reduce gas prices in Louisville. In the coming session, I plan to put forward policy moving MSD under the KY Public Service Commission to provide oversight and regulation, reducing constant rate hikes on Jefferson Co residents.
